Unlike the e***** stories I’ve written so far, I will now write a short horror story. You may have heard of the Beast of Gevaudan. It was a bloodthirsty, man-eating animal that killed several hundred people in the countryside in the south of France – mostly children, teenagers and women. It was most likely a striped hyena. Whatever animal it was, it committed a terrible slaughter. It hunted down its victims by jumping on their necks, often decapitating them and would sometimes eat half of the prey, leaving gruesome scenes in her wake.

Let’s suppose that a young girl fell in love with a young man (you’ll see why I added a romantic element to the horror story). After a long time, she mustered up the courage to admit to him that she was not only in love with him, but also that she wanted to sleep with him. The boy made fun of the girl, since she was otherwise somewhat marginalized and ostracized in their community. Apart from rejecting her, the guy told all his friends that the girl asked him for s**. The girl was mortified, ashamed and even thought of suicide. She ran into the nearby forest. No one could find her for days.

Suddenly, a terrible reddish gray monster came out of the forest. It turns out that either the girl turned into a beast, or she was the one who trained the beast to kill. Her pain and shame caused a wolf-like monster to appear. The huge, creepy monster started to deal with the people who previously took advantage of the girl; most of them were her peers. We may never find out whether it was the heartbroken young woman that turned into a beast, or if the animal was somehow her companion or pet. However, it was only after a few years that the villagers managed to put an end to the carnage. Until then, everyone was afraid of the beast that dealt with them by causing them horrible injuries, devouring their throat, lungs and sometimes even their heart.

Fortunately, the Beast was eventually killed. The memory of it still remains.
