I, like the few whites still living in my hometown, drive to the next town over to do my shopping because there are fewer minorities in that town, so the stores are nicer and the customer service is better. The stores near me are dirty and unorganized, and the workers are not very friendly. It’s an open secret that the reason for this is because of the large minority population in my hometown, and their cultural norms differ than mine.
For example, shopping while still in your pajamas, being loud and obnoxious to the workers, leaving shelves in disarray, letting your children run wild, littering in the parking lot, and being too lazy to return your cart to the corral are things that I consider rude, but seems to be normal for certain people. So it’s well worth the extra time and gas to surround myself with people who share my values.
