I regret not to have give in to my feelings. Despite the large age difference our hearts melted together at the first time we saw each other. But I suppressed that feeling.
I married your daughter and now you’re my mother in law. I remember how you whispered in my ear after the ceremony: “It had to be me standing next to you.”
Sometimes you look at me with sadness in your eyes and I can feel your pain inside. Unspoken, I know that our love for each other is unbreakable but also unreachable.
We’re making the best of it.
