One of the most genuine and rad people I’ve become friends with is a guy I met online 4 years ago. Though we never met in real life (because we live in different cities) he almost knows me better than my closest friends. I consider him more real than any of the other people I’ve met in my life. About 7 months ago he told me he decided to abandon all forms of online communication so that he can get his life together away from distractions, and so our last conversation ended on a bittersweet note as we both wished each other the best. I’ve just been missing talking to him a lot lately. He used to get me, better than anyone else would and I never felt judged. I wish he was around right now.
