I am horrified for the day that my dog passes. I just imagine us having to put her down at the vets office, and watching her close her eyes one final time. I can’t bear it. She’s a small dog, and is about 11. Because of past illnesses, the vet said she would live to ATMOST 15 years (most likely less). i am so scared. I dont know how to get it out of my head. I want to be happy now and spend as much time with her as i can, but all i can think about is death. how can i get myself to stop thinking about the future and stay in the present? How can i allow myself to enjoy the time i have left with her without thinking of her death? I just want to make her last few years with us as amazing as possible for both of us. What can i do to stay positive?
