If you struggle with lust? You need intervention. I have heard it said the mind is the biggest s** organ. You might want to talk to someone in an anonymous church group for men that struggle with your problem. There is no judgement or condemnation in turning to god. We all wear thorns. Some just hide it better than others. Your wife is someone you love or you would not have married her. Let her ignite your heart and passion. Let her fill your loins with fire for only her.
In Songs of Solomon, its a very hot and passionate love story. Its okay to find a woman attractive and also for your wife to find other men attractive. You aren’t dead yet.
But in the story, it reads of how much Solomon is sooo on fire and turned on toward his wife. Her breasts are sung about as though to him they are the most amazing in all his kingdom. (Yes he had over 1000 concubines) In. Those days women were viewed as possessions. NOT as human. . But his heart was claimed by only ONE. His music was about the ONE woman he loved.
She wasn’t perfect. But to him? She was. She tried to run away from him at times. Then she would shyly cover herself she didn’t think she was pretty enough. But he only truly had eyes for her. he learned to make love to her as a man should. His music about her and her love was magnificent. YES…he saw many other naked and n*** women. He even wrote music about the comparison. His one true love. His one true WIFE, won his heart and soul.
Was he “perfect”? No.
Did he love her? YES!! (Without a doubt)
Did Jesus change the thorns and take them upon himself? YES so you would be able to heal and let go of the lust you struggle with.
I hope you find healing. I truly do. I hope you will find renewal in your marriage and heart and mind. May god heal you.
