I have a pack of Benadryl in my room. My mom got them for my cat allergy originally, but I can’t stop wanting to use them to sleep, since they always make me fall asleep when I use them…I’ve had them in my room for about two months and I keep wanting to take them just to sleep. I have trouble falling asleep…but I know I shouldn’t. They weren’t meant to be a sleep aid.

It scares me. My mom takes Xanax when ever she gets stressed out, and they make her act so strange. She abuses them and takes too many at a time, always going through the bottle so quickly. Sometimes it causes her to pass out with a cigarette in her hand, resulting in little fires… I feel like if I take Benadryl to sleep it’s just a step closer to me turning out to her. I feel like her choices to abuse pills are going to make me eventually do the same.

And the worst part is that I still want to use Benadryl to sleep.
