Debating. I am doing PF debate (a debate type where you have a partner who debates with you), and we have to write cases (speeches that explain why your team is right and your opponent is wrong). I’m having a bit of trouble because I normally do another type of debate that involves only me, no partner, just me. In that debate type, LD, I have more time for my case to be read. I get to read it in 6 minutes in LD. But in PF, I only get 4 minutes to read a case.

My partner, or ‘assumed’ partner, is busy all weekend. Today is Saturday, and the tournament is Tuesday. We haven’t spoken once since we became partners. We became partners by default when his assigned partner quit the tournament. While I understand he is busy, I can’t help but be frustrated. I don’t know how to cut down my case to fit the time constraints.

I tried calling my teacher a couple times today, but she never picked up. I’m super frustrated because I feel all alone in this, and not having my partner to help me or my teacher is driving me crazy.
