It’s your 18th birthday, you’re all happy, your friends are over. Everyone’s laughing, you just blew your candles. You’re cutting your cake, pictures are being taken. It’s 1 am. Your friends have been over for at least 3hours, you’re tired. You just said goodbye to the last one. Your phone rings, it’s me. I was parked, waiting for the last one to leave. I’m telling you to come down. I hope you were smiling when you were on the phone. The engine is running, my heart is racing. I’ve been waiting for this, and i’m so glad we made it. I see you. You’re beautiful, you’re tall, wearing your converse, you have make-up on, not too much, just to bring out your eyes. You’re wearing a jeans, classic one, the one i like you in. And a simple tshirt, your hair is just perfect, the wind is making it fly. You see me, you smile, that little smile, with these eyes, that stare and won’t let me go. You get in the car, and i drive away. Like always, you take my hand while im driving. I remember the first time you took it, we were at the movies, and it just felt right. That’s when i knew that waiting all these years was worth it. I try to manage driving with one hand, just not to let go of yours. And i can’t stop smiling, and you can’t stop staring, and you do it on purpose now, cause you know you make me go crazy when you stare. We get to that place, where we’re alone, where there’s nothing but the bright city lights ahead. I look at you, let go of your hand, and then get out, and stare ahead. My heart is gonna burst out my chest. After all these years, the butterflies are still there. You get out the car, come over to my side. You take my hand, lean on me, and just this gives me goose bumps. Just feeling you against me is amazing. You look me right in the eyes, you smile, and then you do what we have been waiting for all these years. And this moment, is just pure perfection. And just the begining.
