My favourite line about Artemis EVER, that I just wanted to expand on:
On qualities such as psychological virginity/one-in-herself attributes (expanded at the very bottom), independence, bravery, courage, nobility of character, charting terrains and trailblazing her own path, pursuing ambition, spirited demeanour, positive and articulate, rightoud rage when boundaries are crossed, indomitable spirit, formidable yet warm aura, appearance groomed for herself (never for male attention – one-in-herself qualities remember? Feel good about herself), leadership and alpha girl qualities, autonomy, camaraderie and celebration and protection of womanhood in all its forms (yes, she was the only goddess dedicated to having been blessed and gifted with the xx chromosome, and that includes womanhood in all its forms, regardless if those female deities diverged, they were included regardless because they were woman) in a thousand year dominated society, reaching new heights and a strong and solid sense of individual identity and person in her own right approach, Wikipedia explains these further because most, if not all female deities were considered below and/or secondary in comparison to male ones – this includes Athena as she was a right-hand associate to Zeus, never really with a mind or voice of her own althugh she will always be glorified by men because she upheld the male status quo, Aphrodite included etc etc etc and yet all these goddesses would be welcomed to Artemis’ temple because what do they have in common – they are WOMAN:-

This is a positive quality. End of.
Modern day examples obviously include Beyoncé, Sheryl Sandberg, Malala Yousafzai, Brie Larson – I mean, it’s the beginning of an era. It truly is a special and important time for women everywhere. TRULY.
