I drive as a food courier for one of the biggest delivery services. The delivery fee is so low on it that its not worth my time, gas, etc to pick up these orders. Recently the app i drive for has implemented a new system where if we dont accept 80% of orders, drivers get penalized. So whereas before i ignored the orders with no ‘tip’ i am now forced to take them or suffer the consequences. $4 isnt worth me driving 11kms in the hot weather we’ve been having…

So I’ll mess up the customers order. Ive stolen sides, licked peoples food, spit in their drink, ate their fries only because they didnt ‘tip’.

Notice how i say the word ‘tip’. It shouldn’t be called a tip because i get it, you tip for good service. Like if i found your address, got to you in a timely fashion, whatever. But this food delivery app makes you ‘tip’ before. It should be thought of as a better delivery charge, or a guarantee that youre going to get your food ASAP and not have to wait 3 hours.

I know that cheap people intentionally put $0 for the tip. And you know what? F*** you. I hope you enjoy my spit in your drink. Cheap bastards.
