I’m 19 and my brother is 23 and we both live at home with our parents. Dad is 45 and Mom is 44. Recently, Mom has had a drinking problem possibly because Dad and her are quarrelling a lot. To make extra money, Dad has got into Real Estate withy a colleague who is a much younger woman. I have seen her and she is quite attractive and single. I think Dad is overly attracted to her and Mom is getting more and more jealous. Last weekend, Dad was out trying to sell a certain property out in the country. He said he wouldn’t be home until late at night. Mom had been drinking all day and she sort of passed out or fell asleep on her bed. I undressed her as she slept and covered her with blankets. About 10 pm at night after I had gone to bed and slept for an hour, I woke up to the barely-audible but distinctive sound of “thump, thump, thump” and a creaking sound coming from Mom’s bedroom. I haven’t heard that for a very long time and I assumed Dad had returned home. My next thought is that Mom and Dad sort of reconciled differences and then had s***** i**********. I was surprised because I don’t think they have had s** for a very long time. The thumping ended after about 5 of 10 minutes. I got up to go to the bathroom and thought I would look into Mom’s bedroom for no good reason. I peeked in the door and she was asleep on her back. The blankets were a mess so I entered her bedroom and straightened them up. Her p****** and bra were strewn on the floor. I assume that she had woken up and had removed them. But why? It didn’t make much sense. Dad was no where in sight. I assumed he was downstairs or perhaps in the rec room. When I checked the garage, his car was not inside. He had NOT returned home. The only other person at home was my brother. He knows very well that Mom sort of passes out after a drinking binge and he has mentioned it to me a couple times. I know that my brother has a girl friend and I am guessing that he has a s** life with her. So s** is not knew to him. My only conclusion to all of this is that my brother for whatever reason went into Mom’s bedroom and had s***** i********** with her. He must have done it very gently so that others – meaning me – wouldn’t hear. The following day neither Mom nor my brother made any mention of her drinking and they went on about their business as if nothing special happened. Either Mom doesn’t know what happened or she isn’t saying anything. I do know that Mom is VERY traditional and also very religious. She is a Roman Catholic. I wouldn’t dare tell her that my brother most likely had s***** i********** with her while she was sleeping off the binge drinking. Essentially, he raped her and it may not be the first time. Nor may it be the last time. So that is the dilemma. I don’t know what, if anything, to do about it.
