About a year ago, I was working in the yard. I was spraying some plants that were taking over a wire fence. My wife ran out of the house yelling at me “don’t kill my plants! Don’t kill my plants!” I was angry because I had been working in the hot sun all day. I yelled back at her that if she could not take care of her plants, I would. She ran back into the house crying. I felt terrible. We never fought before this. I found her in the bedroom. She was crying. I apologised, but she continued crying. She said she didn’t know what was wrong, but she did not have enough energy to do anything anymore. She kept running out of breath.
Two weeks later My wife was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the lungs and liver. Fifteen weeks after that she died. She was just 67 years old. We had been married for fifteen years.
