I tell my fiancee that I like his family when I really only like his sister. I really feel like his parents just want us on the hook so that we can take care of them financially when they are old, because they are horrid with money. They may think I like them, and I might be nice right now, but I promise that they will never see a dime out of me for anything. They are actually trying to say my husband has to now pay them back in cash for the cost of raising him. Fat chance! I don’t feel like I owe it to them to pay back the cost of my husbands diapers. They don’t realize it but that is the sole reason that I convinced my husband let me take care of the finances. So they could never get their dirty little hands on my income. I make 2/3 of our income myself anyway. Nobody knows it yet, but if they start harassing us for money, I am planning to secretly request at work to have my position moved 2000 kms away from here. He doesn’t really like them either so I’m not sure he would mind…
