I wish I was one of those women who got up every morning, took a shower, did my hair and put on makeup, and dressed presentably even if I didn’t plan on going anywhere. My mother was a hard working woman who had hard jobs. She worked in carpentry (helping my grandfather) and did house cleaning. She never dressed nicely or wore makeup unless there was a special occasion for it… so I grew up the same. I never cared much about my looks as a girl or teenager.

Maybe it’s because I feel like I’ll be ugly no matter what I do.
