My uncle has never been close to the family, both physically and emotionally. We’ve had expanses of years where he was “lost” to us, he moved or changed his number. Eventually mom Gave up on him and stopped trying to call or send cards. About a year ago I had a crazy dream that he died and decided to get a hold of him. Sure enough, I found him on FB, and we talk occasionally now.

Today he was talking with my mom on a status and in response to her talking about thanksgiving plans he informed us that he has a “family of friends” and “hasn’t missed a turkey day in 20 years”

In the last 20 years he’s Gone dark on us atleast 3 times… Thanks Dude. Glad your friends get to see you on turkey day. Shame that you have family that would… you know… really like to get some time with you, some of that family shares your interest of D&D and Comic books…
