*This by all means is not intentionally bashing on any religion/belief. (Specifically Christian)*

I am getting real tired of my sister-in-law and her cousin. They’re Christian..
Normally someones choice of religion does not bother me, but these two.. These two really push my buttons. I’m spiritual, I don’t believe in a god the same way they do, BUT I am still respectful of their beliefs.

These two.. constantly say phrases such as “Praise the lord!” Or “Thank you Jesus!” at any given chance they get. They say things, for example, about their job and then follow in the same sentence ‘because of god, he’s so great’ (not literally, but along those lines). I have been staying silent with just a large grin on my face. Lately they’re getting more assertive with their remarks. Talk of demons(in a wrong way, might I add), talk of Armageddon, and the constant ‘thank you Jesus’ while looking my way.

I don’t want to put our conflicting beliefs on blast, as much as I know I would enjoy it. Everyone should have their right to choose, and should stay out of other peoples beliefs as well. Like a p****, it’s good to have one, but it’s not good to fling it around in peoples faces all the time.

If they want to confront me about my beliefs, confront me. Don’t worship your god in my presence trying to get me to flip out so you can discuss it from there! (They’re really passively pushy.) That’s just looking for conflict. I don’t know how much longer I can listen to their rubbish and let it happen. I’m going to have to start excusing myself, but knowing them, that would make them pursue me even more, because they believe I am possessed and can’t handle the word of god. NO! It’s not the ‘word of god’ that offends me! They’re sooo… lost! And to make it even worse, they think they’re so smart… I don’t even have words for that.

I wish they weren’t so brainwashed. I wish it was easier to communicate calmly with them. I wish I didn’t HATE this aspect of them. It’s like a barrier that is not letting them think on their own and it’s suffocating. In darker wishes, I wish she would leave her beliefs of Christianity and search for something else more meaningful. But again, to each their own.
