I listened to the most disgusting, obnoxious conversation next to me while getting a haircut today. Some middle-aged prick making a joke about his gray streak of hair in the front — “This is the only thing I got from my ex-wife, hahaha.” This was after some insipid little speech about how people who are bored in their lives should just go work for another company to keep themselves from hitting a slump in their “productivity”. Please, my god, do NOT complain about millenials. At least we have more heart than the pieces of s*** that run things now. Go work for ANOTHER company to keep yourself from being bored? Are you f****** serious? If you’re so bored, why didn’t you put that energy towards growing the f*** up and learning to care about someone other than yourself enough to save your marriage? Quit acting like you’re hacking it when you failed to learn one of the biggest life lessons that will ever mean anything. True, I don’t know what this guy’s marriage was like, it could have been abusive or whatever, but I doubt it. I am absolutely disgusted with the level of selfishness people choose over being a good person in life. Sacrifice isn’t a real concept anymore. Love is no longer unconditional or genuine. Commitments are flat-out contradictions. Maybe I wouldn’t be so judgemental if I didn’t feel like these are the “hotshot” corporate assholes that run everything and convince people they’re “living the American dream”.
