My father has abandoned his intelligence for the paranoia and hate his overly-Conservative boss forces him to hear every day. As a child, I remember my father saying he would never have a personally owned gun (he was military). Now he’s hellbent on getting guns for the house, and is belligerently negative towards anyone who isn’t American-born. I wish he’d never retired from the military. He hated it, but at least he wasn’t acting like an uneducated moron. Now he hates his job and acts like he’s lived under a rock since the Cold War.

He and I are going to fight if he keeps acting like he is, because he’s blaming entire nations for their governments and extremists, and that is unacceptable.
