The whole concept of transgenders confuses me. If you dont feel comfortable in your body I suppose I could roll with that. But when I hear things like “I feel like a wo/man” it just confuses me. What does it mean to feel like woman or a man? If I described myself but did not reveal my actual gender or s** and had a group of people guess what I am I guarantee you most would get the wrong answer. This would be the result of stereotypes and what society says a man or woman is. Am I less of a woman for not being nuturing? Am I less of a woman for preferring practical clothing over skirts and dresses? Am I less of a woman for preferring videogames and gorey action and horror movies over romcoms and makeup? Am I less of a woman for not being thrilled over cute frilly clothes, makeup, and being “girly”? What does it mean to “feel like a woman”? I just thought taco=female, hotdog=male even if that female wants to dress in “male” clothing and even if that male wants to dress in “female” clothing. Even if they dont fit in a certain stereotype box I thought it didn’t matter. Even now I dont know what people mean when they say things like “feel like a wo/man.” I dont get it at all. I dont feel like anything. I just feel like myself and I acknowledge I have female g*******. The whole concept just confuses me. I just dont buy the whole “female brain, male brain” thing. I actually believe our only difference is our body and everything else is stereotypes and socialization and media brainwashing. As in men and women feel they have to behave a certain way. I used to sit with my legs spread wide like a guy. I didn’t think much of it. I didn’t even know I was doing it. I was told my posture and way of sitting is sloppy, like a guy, and not feminine. This was drilled into my head. As if I have to sit dainty and neatly and “act like a lady.” But naturally my posture, sitting, and way of walking is apparently “like a man.” But why do only men get to do that and why am I wrong or less of a woman for doing it? Why cant I just be myself even if its “exactly like a man” and yet still be a woman?

This is probably coming across as ignorant or rude and maybe I’m all wrong but I just dont get it. I dont see why I cant dress and act “like a man” and still be a woman. I dont see why they have a monopoly on certain behaviors, hobbies, or gestures.
