When I decided I would want to pursue higher education, I didn’t realise that it would mean getting higher, farther away from people with regular education and/or intellect. It’s quite awful having to look down on most of the people. I’ve really tried not to do that, but I can’t help it.

When I try to tell people they are intelligent and could do the things that I do rather easily if they just tried, they dismiss that and apparently feel just more stupid, which wasn’t my point at all! Because I honestly tell them they are not stupid, but then they themselves just don’t believe me and they look like they just want to be stupid in fact.

For obvious reasons this is something I can’t just tell anyone and it’s frustrating.
