One of my biggest regrets in life will always be not continuing to play the cello in orchestra. I’m a junior in high school now but I only played it for one year in fifth grade and then dropped it for I don’t know why. Now most of my friends are in district honors orchestra and they get recognized and they are noticed. I’m in guitar 2 and I’ve only been playing it for 2 years, so I’m not that good. But I also wished that I joined marching band in middle school and mabey played the tuba. I see them all now. They are noticed and they get to be apart and feel apart of sonthing productive too. I wish I could I feel like that. The guitar program at our school is a good one but is overlooked by most and not taken as seriously as orchestra and band. When you say your in guitar people are like ” ok..” But say band or orchestra and people and adults and teachers are all awe eyed and automaticl see you as intelligent and going some where In life, like they respect you. I just feel like my mom would be proud of me if I actually had to go to marching band practice or orchestra rehersal or something because right now all I am to her is a dumb weird kid who she hope will make it through high school. But what I hate the most about it is the fact that the kids in orchestra act like they don’t like it anymore. Since they’ve been doin it for years and DO THEY KNOW HOW MUCH I WOULD KILL TO HAVE MY MOM AND PEOPLE RESPECT ME. Because now Im practically invisible to everyone. It’s like I don’t exist…
