I spent a whole day with my mother and another with my father. I see my roommates daily and I kept hoping they wouldn’t see the new burns on my hand so I wouldnt have to explain. And they didnt. Not even a glance or a comment. I think that hurts worse than the burns. I think it hurts that they either pretended not to see the bandage on my hand or didnt care enough to ask. Or worse didnt notice all together that I’m hurting.
