If your generation had to go to work when you were 14, if you didn’t have 1,000 toys to play with and a screen to be looked at, if you appreciated the million things there are to be enthralled by on planet earth, if you weren’t all soft and flabby, if you weren’t all screaming about your right to a latte and bean bags and such, if you took a look at all the buildings and highways and food on the shelves in the supermarket, if your parents had smacked your ass when you mouthed off instead of giving you a “time out,” trust me, you wouldn’t be apathetic.
