Also, while I’m here… Sometimes, it just feels like Taylor Swift is trying to be someone else other than herself.
Stay sparkly? What? What do you mean “stay” I was never sparkly. I mean, I have seen a few things, guitars for example, Les Paul guitars that are in a limited edition sparkle finish and they look pretty cool. I’d play that. Les Paul Custom in silver Sparkle, or red sparkle in the right shade (red is not my colour, green is, but it’s hard to make green look cool on a guitar). Gold Sparkle might be cool, D*** Dale and his gold sparkle Stratocaster are awesome.
It’s like what are you? Katy Perry? Lady Gaga? Are you a rave queen (lame)? Are you high on extacy? Are you shooting for a more homosexual fan base? Are we slipping further into “pop”.
Personally I think she should have stepped back into a more country direction, maybe slightly rock on this album. It was time but who am I? Also, who am I to talk, I have not listen to anything off that new album except “You’re On Your Own Kid” once because it was track 5. I don’t know. From what I heard the music has a melody that might not be bad, it sounds original and did come anywhere else which is good, but I am not a fan of the music, sonically, which is pretty important to me in music. I would say even more important than lyrics. Lyrics are important, no doubt but when I’m listening to music, it’s about the tone of the instruments and the melody. not that synths are bad, they’re awesome when used in the context of a band, a rock band, but it’s just not my thing. Personally.
I don’t listen to her music but I usually read the lyrics. I haven’t even done that with this new album. Lately, last few albums she seems to write music, I’m not sure if it’s intentional or not, it could very well be, it seems as if she is siding with what is against me, personally. Which I take offence to. So I can’t listen to it or even read it.
