I went down to the music store looking for a 2-2.5 foot patch cable to link my cables with two L shaped ends. Not the straight ends. I was unsuccessful. They didn’t have one.
BUT I bought some supplies instead.
I picked up a pack of my favorite stings Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 10-46. I have never broken a 10 string ever. I used to use custom Dean Markley back in the day which were light highs (9) and big lows (46) but I always ended up breaking the 9 (smallest string). I switched up, never broke a string and realized the thicker strings sound better too (see Paul Stanley Ernie Ball String Theory, although I didn’t learn that there, I already knew it)
Then we have the oldest plectrum I have, which I can’t seem to lose. I had this pick in the early 90’s, played it on my first guitar, a black Epiphone Special II (which Taylor Swift later copied me with and played in her video for Picture To Burn), I played it on my beat up BC Rich Acoustic in the late 90’s literally the only pick I had, and I still never managed to lose it after that guitar was gone. I think the only reason I can’t lose it, is the holes I punched into it, heating a pin up with a lighter way back in the early 90’s. I remember doing it. I don’t know why I did the cross, I am Catholic, but I don’t practice religion. I think I had Soundgarden, Jesus Christ Pose on my brain. I don’t play with it now, it resides in my Gibson Les Paul Studio case.
I also picked up a couple packs of plectrums. I got the orange, my favorite, and for the heck of it, I got some yellow which are the slightly thicker next step up. I mainly play orange but have played the yellow at times too. I noticed Justin Hawkins plays the yellow. I figured why not? I have never bought 12 packs before. I always just grab 2 or 3 of the counter display, but you can never have enough plectrums.
