Yeah, that’s what you all say and in the end it doesn’t matter anyway because the guy ends up losing. It’s never a win for an obsessed person.
I happened to see a Guitar World on the magazine rack the other day, I haven’t bought one in years, many years, I didn’t even though no it still existed, I usually only buy them for the transcriptions, Guitar World transcriptions fried me up to play in the 1990’s. I saw the Third Eye Blind song, I dig TEB, so I figured why not?
It Still exists, but it’s not as good. $11 CAD too. It’s not getting any cheaper, but it’s thinner, and it only has 3 songs transcribed. It used to be 5 or 6. It’s much different than back in the day, even as late as the late 00’s when it was as is every issue was an artist I respected a d talked about from the 90’s and past was giving encouragement directly at me to take up arms (a guitar again) and rock the world because we need it. It was as if Eddie was on every second cover going “Cool Gibson LP Studio you bought, congrats. Check this thing out…” Even the songs transcribed. Carry On My Wayward Son. Kiss, Shout It Out Loud. It’s funny the song they transcribed in this issue with Eddie on the cover is not Van Halen, it’s Michael Jackson, Beat it.
