That one song had such timing back then in 1983, thinking about it now, not to get all high on myself and think I’m anything or I ever was anything to her, maybe I was, maybe I wasn’t, but the timing of the release, makes me wonder if she as a little girl wrote a heart breaking fan letter to him, it hit him and he did something with it. Of course he did have a woman with the same name so… you know… probably not but the fact that he did have a woman with the same name could be motivation to read a fan letter too. And yes, I don’t know for sure, but I could see her being a fan of them and him back then. What girl/woman wasn’t? It’s generally for mantic music done well. One thing is for sure, that song in particular absolutely did make me think about it then and even now.
It’s a long shot, just me thinking.
