I’ll tell ya, I switched over to the worst radio station in the city today. Its absolutely terrible 99.9% of the time. God awful. I always check to see what they’re playing and like I said it is usually terrible. They also play edited versions of songs, like Tears For Fears, Shout, which cuts out the climax of the song which is that amazing guitar solo at the end. They do that often.

So I switch over and they play The Cars, You Might Think, which is a rare goody, but as soon as it comes on, she starts babbling through the entire intro about some s*** having to do with the friggin Queen, which frankly, I don’t care. I didn’t even hear what she said I was trying to hear the intro underneath her babbling. She stopped talking right at “you might think” and I’m thinking to myself, did you do that on purpose? Did you know I wanted to hear that, because I CAN play it perfectly? Stacy…. Please shut the f*** up! I would rather hear the music than you talking about the Queen. We know. We all know she died, and etc, etc, etc, I am not interested. I have heard it already, I will continue to hear it, please refrain. Especially while The Cars is playing.

This is a station that celebrates everything very dramatically. A death, a concert, a birth, one of the station managers took a leak, it’s like a victory celebration for everything, no matter what it is. Somebody broke through the finish line tape. Within one hour of The Queen’s death yesterday they already had the guy with the deep voice recorded the spot “***.* Celebrates… Queen Elizabeth” in between songs.

Can’t you just shut up? Please just shut up.
