Another interesting thing I remember that happened there one time, I just happen to see this bird laying there. I’m not sure what it was, it was a common small bird. I picked it up, it was sitting on my finger, I was looking around, it was far from any buildings, I was a ways away from the camp, in almost a clearing. What would be the parking area. it didn’t hit a window. I think it might have been a bird that didn’t know how to fly yet. Fell out of a tree, which makes me a dumb kid because I always knew the rule not to touch them, mother will abandon it. I picked it up, it stood on my finger, I was amazed, never saw that before and I was rooting for it. I know the rule, now I fucked you up, fly…. So I tried to released it, arm up ward motion and drop down. It almost went but didn’t. Eventually, maybe even the second or third time I did that, it flew. I was glad it wasn’t injured and I didn’t f*** up it’s life by touching it. It flew. Took off.
