does this constitute as animal abuse? my cat one time drove me nuts for days and weeks on heat and it got too much trying to keep her from straying and acting up for a mate so I had to lock her in a cupboard. now when I say a cupboard its big enough to fit 5 people. I let her out after 3 hours so I had enough time to clean the house and open the door without worrying she would get out and get kittens. sorry poor little girl, but she died a number of years ago and I did love her and it was the only way of keeping her out of harms way to lock her in for a while cuz it was driving me mad but I feel bad anyway. just wanted to get it off my chest.
