Lately I also get a lot of random “good morning” from the girls at this one breakfast place I deliver to. Actually at a couple of places. It blows my mind, they go out of their way, and their gorgeous girls. Its not like we know each ther or are even famiar to each other, we don’t.
I’ll do my thing and then kick back waiting for someone i need to deal with get done what they’re doing. These girls will be doing something, turn around see me there, “g’morning”…
Sounds kind of insignificant, but what is weird about it (in a positive) is as a middle aged white man, over the last decade or so, there is a lot of hate towards a man of my demographic. I see it, I feel it in real life, not talking online. Kind of like from that b**** or f***** below me right here. In real life I’m used getting scoffed at, ignored, even talking under their breath for simply saying hi, or goodmorning, something like that. It floors me. Being polite. I read this kind of s*** online, I never think these peolle have the nerve to be ignorant like that in real life, but some really are that bitter. I often times don’t even bother anymore. A lot of times it’s this ugly middle aged b****, who is obviously a feminist, bitter that no man ever looked at her twice. They might even be lesbian, but its straight up ignorant. It makes me laugh sometimes, how rude and ignorant they are for no reason. I’ve had a few younger ones do it though to. One I remember I said good morning, we were both standing there to get let into a daycare. She looked at me like I was crazy, sideways, smiling. Its like “I don’t want r*** you, you know. You couldn’t give me a b**** with that purple nappy hair, nearly dreaded, no makeup and those ugly feet/narly toes. I’m just being polite… not a s*** thought anywhere near my mind atm” So when 3 different random girls at this one same place do it in the last few weeks go out of their way, Im not even rude kjg in their direction, I just hear it, it’s a bit out there to me. In a pleasant way. AND they get it back. I don’t leave her hanging, I don’t murmer some b******* under my breath, it’s sweet. It brings out the chivalry in me. The one this morning got it back, and then 10 seconds later another one has breakfast and a glass of coffee for herself, going out the door I’m standing beside to go down the stairs to the lunch room. She is having a hard time, the coffee looks volatile, in her arm trying to open the door, I reached over and held it open for her so she could go through it easier. I looked over and said “here I’ll help hold that for you….”
Hopefully thats a sign of change for the better on this front.
