Am I wrong for wanting to announce I’m in a relationship with my long term boyfriend online?

I’ve been dating this guy’s for about four months now, and he is significantly renown on certain social media platforms.

Our relationship isn’t talked about online because he is worried it will affect his ‘digital’ identity and/or risk my social media.

Am I being jealous, scared or selfish? Any advice?
