I just don’t think the gender pay gap is that big of a f****** deal. Literally the only time I hear anyone bitching about it is when it’s film actresses upset that their costars are getting paid more, but to me it only makes sense- you get paid equivalent to your box office draw. More people wanna see The Rock than they wanna see like Nicole Kidman, let’s say. And I also feel like the other occassions where women say they’re not getting paid enough are jobs that are high paying anyway, so what are they complaining about? Not to mention it seems like you could sue if you were a female doctor getting paid less than all the male doctors at the hospital or whatever. I’m just a sales associate at a shop- I know my male coworkers aren’t getting paid more than me just because they’re male (in fact, *I* get paid more because bonuses and raises are merit based and I’m dependable and they’re silly irresponsible dickheads). idk Maybe I’m wrong, but it just doesn’t seem like some prevailing issue affecting every woman everywhere. First world problems, more like.
