I seriously think I’m addicted to my MPC X like how a drug addict is to cocaine or meth or heroine or dust. I spend 16 to 18 hours a day making beats and what’s crazy about it is how it’s the only production tool in my modest little home studio that gives me a high that I don’t want to come down from. When I’m sampling from a vinyl record or cassette tape and then chop that sample up and flip it into some next level boom bap flavor, it’s like my mind levitates from my body and I’m seeing the colors of the sounds. The MPC X got me like a crackhead looking for my next hit.
