I’m so sick of a co-worker. I’m a nurse and so are they. They treat me like I’m stupid while they illegally do things. I try to tell my boss who just ignores it. I’m going to tell them again and again and again till they do something about this. I’m sick of hearing these lies and the laziness. I’m sick of them looking down at my jobs as “a nurse” because “everyone knows how to care for someone”. It ain’t that easy! This co-worker shouldn’t even be allowed to have a license at this point. We had a fire drill and they didn’t even bother to help this sick patient get to the safe area because “the healthiest are the priority”. Sick of this.
That’s it, done ranting.

  • Ugh, I hate people who are like that. If your boss is ignoring you, maybe try telling another co-worker. If they also don’t listen, then maybe try finding someone who is more of a higher rank than your boss? (if you know what i mean.)

  • Which is why I had no intention of staying a bed side nurse. I invested heavily in STEM courses when I was in college science is the way to go. I Did my minimum of 1 yr in critical care and applied to CRNA school. You are correct in that nurses are some of the laziest pieces of shit to ever walk the earth. Usually most never seek higher education because that will require them to work in an advanced capacity where someone will hold them accountable and to a standard. I don’t regret a day of my transition, working around motivated, educated and ultimately positive colleagues gives you the motivation to push farther than you ever thought you could. If you are a BSN I urge you to seek higher education if you can, that will eliminate a lot of your problems as the window lickers usually never make it past the bachelors’ level. Good luck too you, in a professional setting, education is almost always your ticket out of the boiling pot of idiots.

  • This doesn’t sound like A Random Feeling to me, but that’s beside the point. You need to go over your worthless boss’s head to the next level, probably on the second floor. Even to the that person’s boss until something is done. Contact the NAACP, AARP, and the NRA, if still nothing is done. Then I’d find another place to work.

  • I’ve been there in another field and I ended up quitting. I gave it some though, I had all the backup I needed to potentially cause problems, not that I would, and I didnt, but I mean I had all I needed to quit and have backup financially if I needed some unemployment to fall back on, so I decided to quit. Actually there was a last straw where it was like “you know what? This isnt a fucking high school here, we’re both adults here, this is the way it is, I think I’m done here… my last cheque is this, that, 2 of these and about $340 Vacation pay, mail?….you want it in writing? Alright if it will make you happy, I’ll write what I just said to you…”

That was so bad I quit, but my papers were technically a lay off. According to her. Unknown date of return. I actually had a job next day anyway. When I quit, I was done. Almost 5 years my motivation was 0. Right after I quit that place, I’d be out with my new job, I realized I had a permanent angry look on my face. Shortly after I was driving along stopped on a highway turning left into a place waiting for an on coming car to pass. As they passed the girl in the passenger seat waved to me, and I thought it wae sweet so I waved back and I realized it was probably this young girl I worked with there, but I had to think for a second I have such an angry look on my face constantly and I do absolutely blame working at that place for 5 years for that. It took months to shake that mode.
