I love my stepdad, even after all of the crap he put our family through. He punched through our doors when he is upset, and acts really irrationally. He scares us, but yet still I love him. My mom is contemplating divorce, and I am scared. But I want my mom to be happy too… What will happen when he goes? Will I ever see him again?

What my family does not understand is that he had PTSD (his dad was a murderer), depression, and bipolar disorder. He does not function normally… Should we give him the benifit of the doubt? Doesn’t he deserve happiness as well?
