I’m so scared of people judging me for my interests that I pretend to not like them until hey show a sign that they do and then I start talking about it super passionately because they won’t judge me.
For example:
8th grade. I’ve just been introduced to a musical called “Be More Chill” by a friend in 7th grade. I know my best friend from out of state likes musicals too, but BMC is kind of a weird musical. It’s my favorite, but it’s objectively pretty weird. A week after I first listen to the soundtrack, he texts me “hey have you heard of his musical called be more chill? I think you’d like it!” and then we texted about it for hours and actually saw it off broadway this past summer. He got a pic with george. I was too scared. I got almost everyone’s signatures. Accidentally got brittons twice. Didn’t get Lauren’s or Jason’s (dad Jason, I got squip Jason’s). Anyways you don’t care about that and if you don’t know this musical you have no idea what I’m talking about.
The moral of this story is to listen to be more chill. It’s funny! I think a new cast recording with the new broadway cast, new song, and new song changes is coming out soon. OG cast recording is amazing though
