I saw that someone else had posted this and wanted to make a comment, but for some reason was having technical difficulties.
“I don’t think it is possible for a man to love his children. I hear them say it and think it’s a lie. They didn’t grow the child in their body. They didn’t change chemically creating and nourishing the child. Maybe they could love someone but they have no connection to their children so they just can’t love their child the way a mother can. I want to believe they are capible of loving their children but I don’t. Anytime I see a father with his children I want to hit him and call him a lier.”
My comment:
I completly disagree with this. A man can love his child just as much as the mother. (As long as he is a good father) I see little girls all the time on their dads shoulders going downtown, or to the park, or to get ice cream, etc. And they are just having so much fun and you can see the love the father has in his eyes for his little girl, and that he would never want anything or anyone to hurt her. And I know firsthand not all dads are like that. My dad was abusive to me from as long as I can remember, and then I finally escaped that when my parents divorced in early grade school years. But, where I am going with this is, I can plainly see that you have been hurt by someone, (most likely your father, maybe a fatherlike figure) but just know that just because he hurt you, that doesn’t mean that every man or father is going to hurt you or be a lier. Fathers are capable of loving their children. I have seen it. And fathers have shown me father-like love because I don’t have one. I hope you see this even those I wasn’t able to reply on your original post!
