I enjoyed it when you were ill too. At least we had a welcome distraction from our marriage troubles. At least we collaborated on getting you better, at least we didn’t have the energy for painful conversations and bad atmospheres in our home. As fucked as it is, I enjoyed you being ill so I could show you that I care by looking after you, not complaining once while you didn’t work and I worked every day.
