I learnt that the reason I became a people pleaser is because it’s my way of trying to survive. I was trying to please and make my father happy by being the best daughter I could be. No matter how many times he shouted at me or how many times he got angry, I listened and took it all. Maybe i wanted your affection when I was younger, but now that your giving it to me, it feels disgusting. I can’t even say I love you. Maybe because I don’t.
