I recently viewed the Netflix documentary “Downfall” concerning aviation manufacturer Boeing. It was a gripping and time-honored tale of corporate greed and malfeasance, but one thought was left with me.

Would any of this had happened if former Boeing engineer Kenneth Pinyan had not died of catastrophic damage to his colon? We will never know, but the doubts linger. What if one man had not chosen to be sodomized by an Arabian Stallion nicknamed “Big D***” in a rural Washington state stable one night in 2005? What if he had have spared his a*** and pushed back against the design flaw?
