I had horrible postpartum depression. I endured physical pain so I could hoard my painkillers. I secretly called it “mommy’s little ‘ensurence’ policy” just in case wanted an out. I’m better now. I recently threw out the pills. I didn’t tell anyone because I was afraid they’d take my baby away.
