I lost my mother some months ago, back in May. She had a terrible problem with these migraines that were so intense sometimes they’d induce amnesia. Her eyes swelling shut along with intense pain. We couldn’t afford constant hospital visits and that ended up driving her to buying pain medication that she abused quite frequently, despite our intervention. She didn’t pass from any of these causes though. I feel so horribly guilty that I could never do anything enough to ease the pain, or be there for her. The only solace I have is that she’s free from the pain that has been her burden for decades now.
