Can you all please comment? Is this kind of Child abuse mild, moderate or extreme? 1. Being beaten and t****** and thrown into a dark room when one is around the age of 10.
2. Since the age of 3, mother ignoring cries of the child and goes about watching TV or doing other things.
3. Having the house help hold you down while mom delivers blows on the knees and elbows when one is around 11-12 years old.
4. In Kindergarten having the alphabets book thrown or banged against the child’s head by the mom when the child pauses even for a second, in reciting the alphabets.
5. Insults hurled since infant years to late teens about how one is dumb, stupid, good for nothing and a loser by the mom.
6. Unavailable father who doesn’t stop the abuse and he barely ever interacts with the kid. Mom is abusive and tells the kid to not make friends with others because of their religion or race.
7. Kid becomes a loner and that too is insulted by the mom who insults kid by saying that nobody wants to be the kid’s friend.
8. When the kid had a verbal fight with his other sibling (equally depressed and abused) and later goes to sleep, around the age of 10-12, the mother pulls the leg of the kid in jest and laughs in the dark and says, ‘Its not me. Its your sibling.’
9. Gets suddenly slapped by the mother once before going to school (around age 10) and nose profusely bleeds. Kid had to go wash up the blood.
10. Kid doesn’t get physically abused in mid to late teen but gets hurled insults, gets belittled, mocked, teased and spoken to condescendingly a lot by mom and unavailable father is busy with his job and himself, the father, suffers from some sort of avoidance issues and is accused by his wife of cheating on him.
11. Divorce almost happened in the family once when the mother threatened to cut off her throat using scissors. This was when the kid was about 5-6 years old.
12. Kid is also s******* assaulted by older females who have molested the kid by touching the private parts which left the kid very uncomfortable.
How does one heal from all this?

That’s pretty extreme. Kid really should have been taken out of that home. I don’t know how to heal, that’s way above my pay grade. I think that kid needs professional help, a stable environment and very supportive friends.
I dont see anything wrong here? The kid is alive and goes to school, not most kids can say that.

Are you dense? Both the mother and father you described are extremely abusive. Are they drugheads or something?
Both come from dysfunctional families themselves. I suspect my mom was raped or sexually assaulted apart from years of emotional, if not sexual or physical abuse, from her parents.
My dad? He comes from a family where he had 7 other siblings. He felt ignored and left out most of his childhood. He is I think a product of Child neglect.
