My right knee is killing me. I have torn the meniscus in my left knee twice and had surgery twice. Now my right knee has a torn meniscus or at least I am pretty sure that is the problem. I do not want to tell my doctor about it. He will send me to a specialist, who will refer me to another specialist, who will tell me that I should be doing physical therapy to make it stronger. It won’t help and I’ll be in worse pain than I am in now. I will go back to my doctor and let him know, he will then send me to the first specialist again. I will tell him that it is worse. He will schedule a surgery and I will be out from work for a week and have to use pain pills, which I hate. It hurts like f*** now and this charade will last for the next 3 months. This will lead to surgery. I don’t want to f*** around with doctors for the next 3 months. Just do it already.

How many times do you have to keep doing the same thing, before you realize that this is going to happen over and over again, while you do.
Slow learner, OK, but this – you have got to be kidding, right?
I’m a lot older than you and I’ve never torn the meniscus in either of my knees.
    Best Wishes……..

  • Been there, done that. Wear a knee brace, elevate the knee higher than your heart during evening, rest, ice, compression and elevation. Destroyed my first knee at 17, second at 18- 58 now and never surgery. Good luck. Cycling and swimming for exercise.
