Sometimes I lie awake at night and wonder what it’s like to have a father who loves you and supports you. I’m 23 and my father has done nothing but hurt me my entire life, both physically and emotionally. I see the bonds my friends have with their fathers and I try so hard to not be envious, but I can’t help it. I just wish he had loved me, even a little bit, growing up.
