I’m a 17-year-old girl and 5ft10, nearly 5ft11. Now, while that isn’t really ginormous, I’m one of the tallest people I know other than a girl at school whos 5ft11 exactly. I know everyone always says that tall is elegant and men like elegant beautiful girls but they don’t. Boys like short, petite girls and I’m reminded of it on a daily basis. Every time the conversation turns to who my guy friends think is hot it’s NEVER a girl over 5ft2. Even my ex, who is still one of my best friends, confessed to me that he just thought short girls were much more attractive. I don’t get it! He’s 6ft3, why the hell would anyone that height want someone more than a foot shorter than them? There’s a running joke going around my school that goes: “If short girls like tall guys, and tall girls like tall guys, and tall guys like short girls, who likes the tall girls? Nobody.” It’s always aimed at me as some kind of jab and I’m tired of hearing about it. For Gods sake I’m taller than most of the basketball team-the BOYS basketball team! I wish I was 5ft1, then maybe I wouldn’t be such a freak….
