My grandad had died not too long ago and it was unexpected. However, I knew he died before I was told by anyone, and I didn’t even tell his daughter. My own Mother. I still haven’t. He was taken into hospital ill & luckily my Grandad was told he could go home in 2 days so we were all over-joyed.
But one the night-which is the night my nan was looking after him- I had a bad feeling before I slept. Now I always trust my gut as it always proves my brain wrong and is always right. So I observed this ominous feeling. That night, I woke up again with a kicking feeling in my gut and thought it was just Period Cramps.
As I fell asleep, I dreamt of my Grandad dying: the time he died, the place, how he looked and the cause of his death. Even the scene in which the nurses found him unresponsive.
I woke with a start as I could specifically remember the death and I just started feeling heavy, confused, with tears pricking my eyes. Then My mums phone rang and it read 6:52am- Mum x (Nan) She was crying so hard she couldn’t catch he breathes but all you could hear was her say “He’s gone! Grandad is gone with his brother now”.

F***. My mum ran downstairs crying into my dad’s arms and I just laid in bed emotionless and empty, processing everything. Hearing my nan on loud speaker describe how the nurses found him, sadly exactly like in my dream… A investigation was put in place and it came back he had died of a cardiac arrest whilst asleep. Like in MY DREAMS.

I haven’t even told my mum I knew and what was worse my little brother is quite hot-headed so his reaction was to get sad and easily angry. What was worse is I couldn’t feel anything at the moment just tears pricking my eyes. My brother was annoyed I wasn’t ‘upset’ (though I was, just couldn’t express it) and yelled “YOU DON’T CARE THAT HE IS DEAD DO YOU? WHAT DID YOU KNOW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN?!” I broke.

Months on I still haven’t told her but it’s eating away at me and I don’t know what to do: to tell her or not to.

What should I do?…
