I don’t want anyone to be bullied or to commit suicide. But if the choice is between my speech being compelled or silenced and every trans person killing themselves (which is absurd, they’re not children, they’re capable of handling offensive speech and shouldn’t be treated like they’re incompetent and fragile), then they can all go.
The shitty thing of him to say was that he doesn’t care about people committing suicide period. No one should feel that way about another human, whether they’re trans or not. Some people are more sensitive than others, and even though you have the right to say whatever you please, there will be consequences. People just have to understand a lot of us are not trying to silence you guys. This is coming from a trans person. The only issue I had with this was what I said above. That’s all.

Any budge or change in the system is a chance for future racists and sexists to enforce more changes
